Education Sr. Learning Experience Designer (Mountain/Central/West Coast) - ILT/VILT at Georgia General Assembly

Senior Learning Experience Designer creates and develops high-quality training programs for enterprise clients, incorporating AI tools and emerging technologies into curriculum design and delivery.

Senior Remote Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Since 2011, General Assembly has transformed tens of thousands of careers through pioneering, experiential education in today’s most in-demand skills. As featured in The Economist, Wired, and The New York Times, GA offers training in web development, data, design, business, and more, both online and at campuses around the world. Our global professional community boasts 60,000 full- and part-time alumni — and counting. In addition to fostering career growth for individuals, GA helps employers cultivate top tech talent and spur innovation by transforming their teams through strategic learning. More than 21,000 employees at elite companies worldwide have honed their digital fluency with our upskilling and reskilling initiatives. GA has also been recognized as one of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, and Fast Company has dubbed us leaders in World-Changing Ideas as well as the #1 Most Innovative Company in Education.

GA is at the leading edge of creating practical solutions to one of the most pressing challenges of our time - the future of work. As recognized by The World Economic Forum, BCG, the OECD and more, these are big challenges to which only a few companies are offering real solutions. In this role, you’ll be speaking every day to corporate leaders who rely on GA to help them apply these solutions to their workforce of the future.

As a Senior Learning Experience Designer (LED), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and

contextualizing high-quality GA learning programs for enterprise, technical, and professional audiences.

This role requires strong learning experience design knowledge, excellent program development and

project management skills, and hands-on fluency with AI tools and emerging workplace technologies.

You will create practical, outcome-driven learning experiences that help learners build relevant skills and

apply them with confidence in real workplace contexts. Because AI is increasingly embedded across GA

programs and client needs, you should understand how modern AI tools are actually used in the

workplace and be able to translate that fluency into applied activities, labs, simulations, facilitator guides,

assessments, and client-specific adaptations.

While this role will contribute significantly to GA’s AI-enabled and emerging technology portfolio, it is

not a purely AI curriculum role. The core responsibility is to create scalable, high-quality GA programs

that meet learner needs, client goals, market expectations, and GA’s instructional standards.

You will project manage and collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, product managers,

learning designers, assessment specialists, vendors, and client-facing teams to create learning experiences

that reflect current market needs, emerging capabilities, and practical workplace application.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Ownership & Discovery

● Serve as the Lead Learning Experience Designer for GA programs that may include AI, emerging

technology, digital transformation, technical skills, leadership, role-based application, or

workplace productivity components.

● Own the complete Client-facing Design Process; requirements gathering, learning outcomes,

project timelines, scope, resourcing, development plans, and content quality from discovery

through delivery.

● Partner with sales, product, client success, solutions, and delivery teams to identify client and

learner needs and translate those needs into practical learning solutions.

● Support pre-sales and client conversations by helping define skill needs, learner personas,

program objectives, audience readiness, and recommended learning pathways.

● Evaluate the tools, workflows, use cases, and workplace contexts most relevant to a client or

learner audience, including AI tools where relevant, and determine how they should be

represented in the learning experience.

● Define clear learning outcomes that move learners from awareness to practical application,

workflow improvement, productivity gains, behavior change, and responsible technology use.

Applied Learning Design & AI-Enabled Development

● Design and develop practical, instructor-led learning experiences for learners at varying levels of

expertise, including programs where AI tools, workflows, or emerging technologies are central to

the learner outcome.

● Create instructor-led training materials, including slides, hands-on labs, case studies, simulations,

assessments, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and practical workplace exercises.

● Build learning experiences that help learners actively apply new skills in realistic workplace

contexts, including the use of AI tools and platforms where relevant.

● Design hands-on activities using current workplace and AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude,

Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Midjourney, NotebookLM, or other tools relevant to

enterprise learning.

● Translate complex or technical concepts into structured, accessible, and engaging learning

experiences in partnership with subject matter experts.

● Curate, contextualize, and update content to reflect emerging industry trends, new tool

capabilities, evolving best practices, accessibility expectations, and responsible use

considerations.

● Design structured learning pathways across levels of proficiency, including AI literacy, role-based

application, technical skill development, workflow redesign, responsible technology use, and

advanced concepts where appropriate.

● Develop practical, interactive exercises such as tool walkthroughs, prompt refinement activities,

workflow mapping, use case development, ethical decision-making scenarios, productivity tasks,

coding challenges, technical labs, or real-world business simulations.

● Ensure learning experiences are grounded in adult learning principles, learning science,

accessibility, measurable learner outcomes, and practical transfer to the workplace.

● Follow GA’s design and development standards, best practices, templates, QA processes, and

productization expectations for core and customized curriculum.

● Create, execute, and own the quality of project and program development timelines, deliverables,

and required resources.

● Onboard and project manage all resources required for program development, including SMEs,

other LEDs or instructional designers, assessment specialists, instructors, vendors, contractors,

and freelancers.

Delivery & Instructor Enablement

● Develop instructor enablement materials to support live classroom training delivery, including

facilitator guides, run-of-show documents, learner workbooks, real-world case studies, tool setup

instructions, troubleshooting guidance, and activity facilitation notes.

● Provide guidance to instructors on best practices for applied, interactive learning, including live

tool demonstrations, coaching, discussion facilitation, learner support, applied exercises, and

technology-supported problem solving.

● Work closely with instructors, learning facilitators, and client teams to tailor learning programs

for diverse audiences, including enterprise clients, startups, government organizations, technical

teams, business leaders, and cross-functional employee populations.

● Ensure instructors are equipped to deliver learning experiences confidently, accurately,

consistently, and in alignment with GA’s instructional standards.

● Collect, synthesize, and analyze data on learning impact to support continuous improvement,

content refinement, learner outcomes, and program updates.

● Where applicable, work with translation vendors and localization partners to adapt learning

experiences for global audiences.

Productization

● Lead conversations and workflows with product management and learning systems design teams

to standardize reusable GA learning patterns, components, activities, templates, and program

structures.

● Contribute to the development of a scalable library of reusable GA learning components,

including program structures, activities, assessments, facilitator resources, client-ready assets, and

AI-enabled learning patterns where relevant.

● Identify which custom learning materials can be converted into reusable product components or

repeatable delivery models.

● Support the evolution of GA’s learning portfolio by identifying emerging client needs, market

shifts, tool trends, and opportunities for new or improved learning products.

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, curriculum design, or a

related field, with significant experience creating instructor-led training content.

● Demonstrated ability to design high-quality learning experiences for enterprise, professional,

technical, or workplace audiences.

● Strong experience creating practical, outcome-driven learning materials, including slides,

facilitator guides, activities, assessments, case studies, labs, simulations, and learner resources.

● Experience managing clients, stakeholders, SMEs, instructors, vendors, or cross-functional

partners through a content development process.

● Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, including Bloom’s Taxonomy,

ADDIE, experiential learning, practice-based learning, and adult learning principles.

● Ability to design for both technical and non-technical audiences, including leaders, business

teams, functional teams, and technical practitioners.

● Hands-on fluency with current AI tools and the ability to use those tools to design, prototype,

evaluate, and improve learning experiences.

● Demonstrated experience designing learning experiences related to AI, emerging technology,

data, digital transformation, technical skills, or workplace technology adoption.

● Strong working knowledge of AI concepts, including generative AI, large language models,

prompt engineering, machine learning, AI agents, ethical AI, responsible use, and enterprise AI

adoption.

● Experience designing practical, hands-on learning activities that may include AI tools, labs, case

studies, simulations, workflow exercises, or tool-based practice.

● Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into

structured, engaging, and accessible learning experiences.

● Familiarity with LMS platforms, content management systems, and authoring tools.

● Willingness to flex your schedule to join meetings across time zones, particularly in the United

States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

● Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments where priorities, tools, and client needs evolve

quickly.

● Passionate about helping diverse learners build practical, future-facing skills for the changing

world of work.

● Technical proficiency in AI, data science, or coding, including Python, APIs, TensorFlow,

PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

● Experience using GitHub or other technical collaboration tools.

● Experience designing AI training labs, coding exercises, model-building workshops, or real-world

AI case studies.

● Familiarity with virtual machines, cloud-based labs, sandbox environments, or technical learning

environments.

● Experience integrating AI-driven personalization, adaptive learning, or AI-supported learner

practice into course design.

● Experience designing enterprise AI adoption programs, leadership AI programs, role-based AI

academies, technical academies, digital transformation programs, or role-based learning journeys.

● Experience creating learning experiences for tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft

Copilot, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Midjourney, or similar platforms.

Education Educational Content Developer at Karbon

Design and develop self-paced learning experiences and educational content for accounting professionals, including courses, job aids, videos, and in-product guidance.

Mid Remote Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Karbon

Karbon is the global leader in AI-powered practice management software for accounting firms. We provide an award-winning cloud platform that helps tens of thousands of accounting professionals work more efficiently and collaboratively every day. With customers in 40 countries, we have grown into a globally distributed team across the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines. We are well-funded, ranked #1 on G2, growing rapidly, and have a people-first culture that is recognized with Great Place To Work® certification and on Fortune magazine’s Best Small Workplaces™ List.

Karbon Academy is how we teach accounting firms around the world to get real value from Karbon, at a scale no team of humans could reach one customer at a time. It is our most important lever for customer onboarding, product adoption and long-term success, and we are rebuilding it around role-based learning paths designed for the people inside a firm: owners, operations leaders, accountants, bookkeepers and tax professionals.

As an Educational Content Developer, you will design and develop the self-paced learning experiences that make up those paths, owning courses end to end — from learning needs and scenario design through storyboarding, build, quality review and publish.

The scope goes beyond structured courses. You will also create time-of-need content that meets customers in the moment they are stuck — job aids, quick reference guides and in-product guidance — as well as go-to-market education that lands new features, supports release communications and drives adoption campaigns alongside our Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams. Some of what you build will be a six-module learning path; some of it will be a two-minute video shipped in a week.

AI is genuinely embedded in how we work. Our production workflow runs on AI-assisted storyboarding and research, which means your time goes to the parts that need human judgement: understanding what a bookkeeper actually needs on a deadline day, designing a scenario that feels real, and knowing when a draft is wrong even when it reads well. You will also see the data on what you build — completion, feedback and product usage — and help decide what to change next.

About the Role

Learning experience design and development

  • Analyze learning needs alongside the Education & Enablement Manager and subject matter experts to define objectives and scope before development begins.
  • Design and develop engaging, self-paced learning experiences across formats — e-learning courseware, video tutorials, interactive modules, microlearning, guided walkthroughs and job aids.
  • Build scenario-based content around our customer personas and fictional firm universe, so learners practise on situations that mirror their real week rather than abstract feature tours.
  • Create time-of-need performance support and go-to-market education — job aids, quick reference guides, in-product guidance, release and feature launch content — often on short timelines and in partnership with Product, Marketing and Customer Success.
  • Develop assessments and knowledge checks that meaningfully measure comprehension and capability, not just completion.
  • Apply adult learning principles, our learning objective matrix, the Karbon design map and Karbon brand guidelines to everything you produce, with accessibility considered throughout.
  • Own the quality review of your own work, and take content from first draft to review-ready in one to two rounds.

AI-assisted content production

  • Use AI tools to accelerate storyboarding, scripting, research and asset creation, and critically review AI output for accuracy, tone and instructional soundness before it ships.
  • Contribute to how our team uses AI — testing new tools and approaches, and documenting what works so the whole team gets faster.

Product and industry fluency

  • Build and maintain deep working knowledge of Karbon by using the product, our Help Centre and our internal knowledge base as primary research sources.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across Customer Success, Support and Product to validate accuracy, and stay close to the release cycle so content is updated, rebuilt or retired as Karbon evolves.

Measurement and continuous improvement

  • Analyze learner data, customer feedback and product usage to measure the effectiveness of the content you build, and use those insights to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Report clearly on the performance of your work and contribute to how we demonstrate the impact of Karbon Academy.

Karbon Academy operations

  • Support learner and customer education enquiries, LMS administration, consumption reporting and certification badging.

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Complete Karbon Academy as a learner and share a specific, honest critique of the experience.
  • Publish your first course module within a role-based learning path.
  • Run a course independently through our AI-assisted storyboard workflow, end to end.
  • Present performance data on something you built, along with your recommendation for what to do next.

About You!

  • You have 2+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design or educational content development, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment, and you have a portfolio you are happy to walk us through.
  • You already use AI as part of a real production workflow — not experimentally — and you have a clear point of view on where it accelerates the work and where it needs a firm human edit.
  • You work quickly and iteratively. You would rather publish a strong first version and improve it than hold a project open for perfection.
  • You write exceptionally clearly in English, and can turn complex, technical subject matter into something plain, practical and genuinely useful for busy professionals.
  • You are comfortable becoming fluent in a domain that is new to you. Accounting, bookkeeping and tax workflows will be unfamiliar at first, and you will need to be curious, ask sharp questions and get to competent quickly.
  • You are a confident asynchronous communicator across time zones — you share progress proactively, flag risks and blockers early, and are clear about what you need from others.
  • You have a strong visual eye and can produce clean, on-brand work independently.
  • You are comfortable working with data, and treat completion rates, feedback scores and usage metrics as part of your job rather than someone else’s.
  • You give and receive direct feedback well. We critique the work openly and look after the people doing it.

Bonus points for

  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax or financial services — or building for professionals in those fields.
  • Hands-on Karbon experience.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 or Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Video production and editing, motion graphics or voiceover skills.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / Section 508).
  • Light HTML and CSS.
  • Experience designing for a global audience across multiple regions and regulatory contexts.

Why Work at Karbon?

  • Industry-leading benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and up to three eligible dependents. Also:

    • Work-from-home allowance
    • Rice subsidy
    • Meal allowance per working day
    • Laundry allowance
  • 15 paid time off days per year (which includes 5 Karbon Days per year)

  • 7 Sick leave days per year

  • Internet and work-from-home subsidy

  • Discretionary bonus program

  • Work with (and learn from) a very experienced team

  • Be part of a startup team that will continue to grow around you

  • Flexible approach to work environment (we believe in trust and autonomy)

  • A culture of open communication, consistent feedback, and full transparency into company results, metrics, and financial position

Please be aware that Karbon will only contact you via email from our domain, karbonhq.com. If you receive an email from any other domain, please do not click any of those links.

Karbon embraces diversity and inclusion, aligning with our values as a business. Research has shown that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single criteria. If you’ve made it this far in the job description but your past experience doesn’t perfectly align, we do encourage you to still apply. You could still be the right person for the role!

We recruit and reward people based on capability and performance. We don’t discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, lifestyle, age, educational background, national origin, religion, physical or cognitive ability, and other diversity dimensions that may hinder inclusion in the organization.

Generally, if you are a good person, we want to talk to you. 😛

If there are any adjustments or accommodations that we can make to assist you during the recruitment process, and your journey at Karbon, contact us at people.support@karbonhq.com for a confidential discussion.

At this time, we request that agency referrals are not submitted for this position. We appreciate your understanding and encourage direct applications from interested candidates. Thank you!

Nice to Have:

● Technical proficiency in AI, data science, or coding, including Python, APIs, TensorFlow,

PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

● Experience using GitHub or other technical collaboration tools.

● Experience designing AI training labs, coding exercises, model-building workshops, or real-world

AI case studies.

● Familiarity with virtual machines, cloud-based labs, sandbox environments, or technical learning

environments.

● Experience integrating AI-driven personalization, adaptive learning, or AI-supported learner

practice into course design.

● Experience designing enterprise AI adoption programs, leadership AI programs, role-based AI

academies, technical academies, digital transformation programs, or role-based learning journeys.

● Experience creating learning experiences for tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft

Copilot, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Midjourney, or similar platforms.

Education eLearning Designer at Fieldguide

Design and produce interactive online courses for a learning platform, including scripting, storyboarding, visuals, and interactive elements in WorkRamp.

Mid Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us

Fieldguide is establishing a new state of trust for global commerce and capital markets. We enhance trust by augmenting the work of assurance and audit practitioners with AI agents. Put simply, we build software for the people who enable trust between businesses.

We are based in San Francisco and built as a remote-first company. We have raised over $125M in venture funding from top investors including Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners, 8VC, Floodgate, Y Combinator, Justin Kan, and Elad Gil. More than 50% of the top-100 CPA firms are customers, including several Big 4 firms, with an industry-leading NPS to match.

We value diversity, both in backgrounds and in experiences. We need people from all backgrounds and walks of life to help build the future of audit and advisory. Fieldguide’s team is inclusive, driven, humble and supportive.

About the Role

Fieldguide University is our customer-facing learning platform. It is a product-adjacent learning system that reduces time to value, drives feature adoption, and removes preventable friction from the customer lifecycle. Courses are persona-driven, so an admin configuring frameworks and a first-year associate testing controls get different learning experiences, not the same product tour.

We are looking for an eLearning Designer, who owns the production-heavy parts of course building including visual design, interactive elements, and multimedia. The remaining customer education team will continue to own product knowledge, learner personas, and course goals. It is a collaboration between domain experts and a learning production specialist.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own course production end to end. Take product documentation and subject matter expert input, and turn it into a visually polished, interactive, pedagogically sound course. You write the learning script, storyboard the screens, design the visuals, build the interactions, and publish in WorkRamp.

  • Write for learners, not readers. Shape technical documentation into on-screen copy with the right length, tone, and chunking. Define measurable learning objectives for each module alongside the subject matter expert.

  • Build the interactive layer. Knowledge checks, scenario-based activities, and exercises that give each course a real balance of reading and doing. Make sure every interaction serves the learning goal and works across delivery contexts.

  • Establish a visual design language for Fieldguide University. There is no design system for course content yet. Creating a reusable one is an explicit deliverable of the first engagement, not a nice-to-have.

  • Build and QA in the LMS. Structure course hierarchy, configure settings, produce landing pages and banners, and QA formatting, links, and presentation before publication.

  • Write assessments. Multiple-choice and other question types aligned to learning objectives, configured in WorkRamp with scoring and certification logic.

  • Push back. If a module is too long, a concept is unclear, or a proposed interaction does not serve the learner, say so. We want a peer collaborator, not an order-taker.

What You Are:

  • 3+ years designing and developing eLearning courses, with a portfolio that shows production quality and visual design capability.

  • Strongly preferred: hands-on experience in audit, advisory, or accounting, whether as a practitioner, a trainer or L&D specialist inside a firm.

  • Familiarity with CPE requirements is a strong plus.

  • Nice to have – B2B SaaS or technical product context, experience building learning content for an AI-native product, and comfort producing screen recordings and product screenshots from a live application.

  • Proficient in a major authoring tool. Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar. WorkRamp familiarity is a plus but learnable. General LMS experience is what matters.

  • Strong visual design skills applied to learning. You understand how to design for on-screen reading, interaction, and learner attention.

  • You work well with subject matter experts. You can run an SME interview, synthesize documentation, and come back with a structure that holds up.

  • Enough instructional design background to write learning objectives, build storyboards, and flag problems with content architecture.

  • Deep ID methodology is not the main requirement. We handle learning strategy and needs analysis internally. We need someone who can make things, and make them well.
