About the Client

An SEC-registered investment advisor operating a tech-driven multi-manager hedge fund platform is hiring a Fund Operations Manager to take ownership of NAV production and reconciliation as its fund count scales.

The firm is an eight-person, fully distributed team onboarding approximately eight new custom funds in the near term. Fund operations currently sit with a single Head of Operations plus an onshore outsourced provider, and the firm is bringing that work in-house. The systems already work — what the team needs is capacity and sharper process as complexity grows.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role splits roughly 50% NAV and fund accounting, 25% management company financials, and 25% investor operations and ad hoc projects. The first 30 days are spent shadowing a full month-end close cycle, with delegated ownership of core workflows by day 60 and transition of outsourced reconciliation work by day 90. Success means owning specific fund operations workflows end-to-end with minimal oversight and answering Limited Partner questions independently.

Core Responsibilities

NAV and Fund Accounting

  • Produce monthly Net Asset Value calculations for the firm’s custom funds.
  • Reconcile fund positions, cash balances, and transactions, and resolve discrepancies before close.
  • Maintain fund books, records, and systems of record so all fund accounting files stay current.
  • Redesign NAV production workflows as the fund count scales from 1 to 8+.
  • Take over shadow NAV and reconciliation work currently handled by the outsourced team.

Management Company Financials

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for the firm’s internal operations.
  • Perform bookkeeping and internal financial reporting for the management company.
  • Record internal expenses and revenue accurately and on schedule.

Investor Operations

  • Process subscriptions, redemptions, and investor onboarding documentation.
  • Respond to Limited Partner inquiries by email and join investor calls when needed.
  • Prepare investor reporting and fulfil documentation requests.
  • Support fund formations as new custom funds launch.

Process and Ad Hoc Support

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements as fund complexity grows.
  • Learn and maintain the proprietary internal applications used to warehouse fund data.
  • Pick up cross-functional operational projects as the firm scales.

Must-Have

  • 4+ years of back-office or fund operations experience at an asset management firm, hedge fund, SEC-registered RIA, or fund administrator
  • Hands-on ownership of monthly NAV production, including position, cash, and transaction reconciliation for at least one fund
  • Fund accounting experience covering fund books and records, investor statements, and independent month-end close
  • Working knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes in an asset management context, including break identification and resolution
  • Experience with management company financials — AP, AR, and bookkeeping — distinct from fund-level accounting
  • Investor operations experience: subscription and redemption processing, investor onboarding, or written responses to Limited Partner inquiries
  • C1+ English (CEFR) for investor-facing email and occasional calls with Limited Partners

Nice-to-Have

  • Fund operations experience at an asset manager under 50 employees, or sole ownership of a fund vertical within a larger firm

  • Exposure to multi-manager hedge fund platforms, custom funds, or managed accounts

  • Hands-on use of fund admin platforms such as Juniper Square, Allvue, Carta, SS&C, or Advent Geneva

  • Experience supporting fund formations or new fund launches

  • Track record of working US Eastern business hours from Latin America

  • Competitive Salary: Based on experience and skills

  • Remote Work: Fully remote—work from anywhere

  • Team Incentives: Recognition for maintaining 100% CRM hygiene and on-time reporting

  • Generous PTO: In accordance with company policy

  • Health Coverage for PH-based talents: HMO coverage after 3 months for full-time employees

  • Direct Mentorship: Guidance from international industry experts

  • Learning & Development: Ongoing access to resources for professional growth

  • Global Networking: Connect with professionals worldwide

Finance Contract Accounts Payable Manager at Customer.io

Manages accounts payable operations including expense coding, travel reconciliation, vendor payments, and policy compliance using Ramp and Navan platforms.

Mid Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Customer.io

Over 9,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the role

Hi, my name is Eric Anderson, Senior Controller at Customer.io, and I’m looking for an AP Contractor to keep our T&E engine running clean through a busy stretch. Our Accounting team relies on Ramp and Navan to keep expense and travel spend moving, and we need someone who can own the day-to-day grind — coding, reconciling, chasing exceptions — without losing sight of the bigger picture. This is a 6-month contract with real ownership from day one, working closely with Terre Holmes and the AP team.

What we value

  • Ownership — you drive the exception queue to zero, not someone else.
  • Directness — you enforce policy clearly and kindly, without dodging hard conversations.
  • Precision — a mismatched dollar amount doesn’t get past you.

What you’ll do

  • Own Ramp expense management end-to-end — review, code, and approve expense reports, chase missing receipts, and enforce policy compliance.
  • Administer Navan travel — reconcile bookings and spend, flag policy exceptions, and support employees through out-of-policy approvals.
  • Review AP bills for accuracy, coding, and approval routing — catching duplicate invoices and mismatched amounts before they hit the payment queue.
  • Reconcile Ramp and Navan activity against the GL and drive the exception queue to zero before every close.
  • Serve as the responsive point of contact for vendors — confirming payment details, tracking status, and resolving disputes.
  • Spot recurring T&E headaches and propose (and document) process fixes.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of AP & T&E experience, ideally in SaaS or a high-growth environment
  • Hands-on experience with Ramp and/or Navan (or comparable — Concur, Expensify, TravelPerk)
  • Sharp eye for detail and a solid grasp of expense policy enforcement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a recurring, deadline-driven workload
  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

This is a contracted engagement at $45–60/hr USD, depending on experience, for an estimated 6-month term.

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.

  1. 30-minute video call with a Recruiter
  2. 45-minute video call with the Hiring Manager
  3. 45-minute cross-functional screen with a member of the AP team

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process.

Customer.io recognizes the stifling impact of systemic injustice on diverse communities. We commit to using our influence to increase inclusion and equity within the tech industry. We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact jobs@customer.io.

Join us!

Check out our careers page for more information about why you should come work with us! We believe in empathy, transparency, responsibility, and, yes, a little awkwardness. If you’re excited by what you read — apply now.

Finance Finance Analyst at Flex

Analyzes ROI of growth investments and works with go-to-market teams on deal structure, pricing, and budget planning for an AI-native banking platform.

Junior Remote Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Flex is building the AI-native private bank for business owners.

We’re re-architecting the entire financial system for entrepreneurs—from the first dollar a business earns to how that value compounds, moves, and is ultimately spent in real life. Banking, credit, payments, personal finance, and financial operations—rebuilt from the ground up as a single, intelligent system. Flex is the full financial home for ambitious owners.

Since launching publicly in September 2023, Flex has scaled from zero to nine-figure annualized revenue, with a clear path to profitability by late 2026. We move fast, ship relentlessly, and operate with extreme ownership.

Our customers are affluent business owners ($3–$200M in revenue)—the backbone of the economy and one of the most underserved segments in finance. They’re stuck with outdated banks and fragmented tools. We’re replacing all of it. The opportunity is massive: a ~$1T+ revenue market hiding in plain sight. Our ambition is to build a $100B+ company by delivering a product that is fundamentally better—not incrementally improved.

Flex has raised $100M+ in equity and $300M+ in debt.

- Mission-critical problems: We build software that directly controls how money moves at scale.

- High bar, low ego: Small teams, exceptional people, real ownership.

- Speed over comfort: We prioritize execution, quality, clarity, and results.

- Enduring impact: What we’re building will define how a generation of owners runs their businesses.

Team & Locations

We hire exceptional people who want to build hard things and see their work matter immediately. Roles are available in: San Francisco, Miami, New York, and fully remote.

Flex Fuels Ambition.

About Us

This is a ground-floor seat on a small finance team, and it’s a genuinely embedded one. Most of your week will be spent with our go-to-market org — reporting on what our growth spend is actually returning, and acting as the finance counterpart on deal structure and pricing. The rest goes to the budget cycle, where you’ll sit with department leads to build and defend their plans.

We’re hiring for judgment and speed, not years served. If you’re two years out of a banking analyst program, or a strong new grad who models well and writes clearly, you’re the profile. You’ll report to our Director of FP&A and get real exposure to the exec team.

What You’ll Do

Be the finance partner to go-to-market

  • Own reporting on the ROI of our growth investments — by channel, campaign, and segment — so the team knows what’s working and what to cut

  • Run Deal Desk: serve as the finance liaison on pricing, deal structure, and non-standard terms, and be the person go-to-market pulls in before a deal gets committed

  • Build and maintain the customer and growth economics that inform how we invest in acquisition

  • Sit in go-to-market’s meetings, not just their inbox — translate their questions into analysis and hand back a recommendation instead of a spreadsheet

Run the budget cycle with the teams

  • Partner with department leads through quarterly budget and headcount planning — collect inputs, pressure-test them, and translate them into the plan

  • Track spend against budget, surface drift before it compounds, and flag what needs a decision

  • Build the analysis behind headcount, vendor, and resourcing calls — payback, cost-to-serve, build-vs-buy

Support forecasting and reporting

  • Support the monthly forecast cycle: pull and reconcile actuals, build the variance analysis, and draft the commentary that explains what moved and why

  • Maintain the schedules and drivers that feed the company operating model, working alongside the Director of FP&A

  • Help assemble the monthly and quarterly reporting packages for leadership, the board, and lenders

Automate anything you do twice

  • Replace recurring manual work with something durable — AI workflows, queries, dashboards, templates — so next month it takes minutes

  • Bring rigor to automated output: reconcile it, stress it, and know where it breaks before someone else finds out

Requirements

  • 0–2 years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, Big 4, or a comparably analytical role — exceptional new grads welcome

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field

  • You build financial models from a blank sheet. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets is table stakes here, not a bullet point

  • Hands-on exposure to a real budgeting or forecasting cycle

  • AI is already the default in how you work, and you have the judgment to go with it: a reliable instinct for when a machine-generated answer is wrong, and the discipline to check before you forward it

  • You write clearly. You can compress a 40-tab model into three sentences a founder can act on

  • Extreme attention to detail, and comfort operating in ambiguity at speed — priorities here change faster than the plan does

  • Based in the US

Nice to Haves

  • SQL — you can pull your own data instead of filing a ticket

  • Python, or comparable scripting for analysis and automation

  • BI and analytics tooling (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Hex) and modern planning tools (Pigment, Cube, Aleph, NetSuite)

  • Fintech, banking, or lending background

$80,000 - $100,000 a year

$80,000 – $100,000 base, plus full benefits. Title and compensation are commensurate with experience, performance in the interview, and location.

Why Join Us

Build something generational — Capture the full lifecycle of money for ambitious business owners.

Work on real money, real risk — Payments, credit, and banking at serious scale.

Solve hard problems — AI, underwriting, compliance, and global finance from first principles.

True ownership — Small teams, high trust, real accountability.

Founder-level exposure — Direct access to leadership, customers, and investors.

High bar, high taste — Move fast without cutting corners.

Elite peers — People here are builders, not tourists.

Real upside — Meaningful equity if you help build something big.

Finance Finance Analyst at Flex

Analyze financial performance of growth investments, manage ROI reporting by channel, and partner with go-to-market teams on deal structure and budgeting.

Finance Assistant Controller - Remote at BaubleBar Inc.

Leads accounting operations including AP, revenue recognition, AR, and general ledger management while supervising accounting team members and driving process improvements.

Lead Remote Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

WHO WE ARE:

BaubleBar designs accessories that make life more fun. Founded in 2010, the company is known for its statement-making styles that create joy and bring people together. Today, BaubleBar’s unabashedly optimistic perspective can be found across multiple accessory categories sold direct-to-consumer and in over 8,500 retail stores globally.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to serve as the operational backbone of the accounting close and transactional world for the Company.  This role owns the full transactional accounting cycle – accounts payable and travel & expense, revenue accounting, and accounts receivable – while also directly maintaining the general ledger accounts that fall outside the functional teams, including fixed assets, prepaids, cash and other corporate balance sheet accounts.  This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical accounting knowledge, general ledger ownership, people management skills and deep familiarity with e-commerce revenue, payment and collections processes.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO:

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Directly manage and develop the Accounting Supervisor, Revenue Accountant and Part-Time AR Manager
  • Serve as the escalation point for judgment calls, exceptions and unusual transactions
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and career development planning for direct reports
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities across all owned functions

AP & Travel and Expense (via Accounting Supervisor)

  • Review and approve the AP aging and cash disbursement forecast
  • Oversee the Accounting Supervisor’s management of vendor master data controls, invoice-PO match exception resolution, and T&E policy compliance
  • Review matters requiring elevated technical judgment: complex accrual estimates, vendor disputes, and contract interpretation

Revenue Accounting

  • Review monthly revenue-to-cash reconciliations across all sales channels (e.g. Shopify, Amazon, wholesale, etc.)
  • Oversee revenue recognition policy application, including treatment of chargebacks, returns/refund reserves, and payment processor fees
  • Review and approve judgmental reserve estimates

Accounts Receivable (via AR Manager)

  • Own the AR reserve in partnership with the AR Manager
  • Oversee the AR Manager’s direction of collections aging, customer credit memos and deduction management (particularly wholesale chargebacks and allowances)
  • Ensure cash application accuracy and timely resolution of unapplied cash through the AR Manager and AR Specialist

Close Process & Controls

  • Own the close calendar and checklist across all managed functions and direct GL accounts; ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconcilations for all accounts – prior to Controller sign-off
  • Prepare and review manual and non-system journal entries for accuracy and appropriate support
  • Support internal control design, documentation and testing

General Ledger & Corporate Accounting

  • Directly prepare and/or review monthly cash reconciliations for all operating, payroll and merchant/payment processor bank accounts
  • Own the fixed asset sub-ledger: capitalization policy application, monthly depreciation, disposals, internal software capitalizations
  • Maintain prepaid expense and accrued liability schedules not owned by AP/T&E, Revenue or AR
  • Record and reconcile debt instruments, as applicable
  • Record and account for investments and related interest
  • Prepare and/or review lease (ASC 842) and other corporate schedules as applicable
  • Service as secondary technical reviewer alongside the Controller for non-routine GL entries and account classifications outside the transactional functions above

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with multi-channel e-commerce accounting strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing a monthly close process and reconciliation cadence
  • Demonstrated success automating accounting processes and reducing close cycle time (e.g. saved searches, workflows, system integrations)
  • Experience with AP/T&E automation platforms and CRM/AR tools
  • Systems- and process-oriented, with a constant eye on automating and simplifying manual processes rather than managing around them
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and accountability during time-sensitive close cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document accounting conclusions and communicate effectively with non-accountants
  • Position will be remote (residing anywhere in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.) Standard working hours to coincide with 9:00am-6:00pm EST

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Starting salary range for this role is $155,000 - $170,000. Starting offer within that range will factor in work location, skills, background and years of relevant experience
  • Generous benefit package including: Outstanding company contribution towards employee premiums for Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, PTO, 10 paid Company Holidays, Company paid Life Insurance & more!
  • Be part of a lean, highly effective, collaborative team where your impact is easy to see. Your work will directly shape our financials and decisions
  • Company laptop, free monthly product allowance, and employee discounts
